Overview
The Smart Hands / Facilities Coordinator is responsible for supporting onsite technical operations, warehouse coordination, equipment staging, asset management, shipping logistics, and remote engineering support. This role serves as a key operational resource for infrastructure deployment, customer equipment preparation, inventory tracking, and day-to-day facilities support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically capable, hands-on, and comfortable working in fast-paced operational and warehouse environments while supporting both internal teams and customer-related initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Staging & Configuration
  • Perform NUC setup and configuration to support internal security initiatives and operational deployments.
  • Stage, configure, and troubleshoot customer network equipment prior to deployment.
  • Prepare backup appliances including base configuration, validation, and deployment readiness.
  • Provide remote smart hands support for engineering teams including hardware troubleshooting, cabling, equipment installs, and onsite diagnostics.
  • Assist with onsite device setup for employees including monitors, peripherals, docking stations, and workstation equipment.
Warehouse & Facilities Operations
  • Maintain warehouse organization including shelving, inventory placement, labeling, and cleanliness.
  • Coordinate and support office and warehouse operational needs.
  • Ensure warehouse areas remain clean, safe, and operationally efficient.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas for internal equipment and customer consignments.
  • Support facilities coordination tasks as assigned.
Shipping & Logistics
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities for internal and customer equipment.
  • Palletize equipment for outbound shipments and deployment preparation.
  • Perform FedEx drop-offs and support smaller shipment logistics.
  • Validate incoming shipping orders and ensure order accuracy.
  • Receive, organize, and shelve shipments after consignments are created by the sales team.
  • Track shipment status and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely processing.
Ticketing & Vendor Coordination
  • Open and manage CoreSite tickets for Jenny orders and related facility requests.
  • Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and data center personnel to support operational activities.
  • Track ticket status and ensure timely completion of service requests.
Asset & Inventory Management
  • Manage asset tracking for customer consignments and internal company equipment.
  • Apply asset tags and maintain accurate asset documentation and inventory records.
  • Track hardware lifecycle information including deployment, storage, return, and disposal status.
  • Conduct inventory audits and assist with reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain accurate records within asset management systems and spreadsheets.
Experience & QualificationsRequired
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or related education preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical operations, warehouse coordination, IT support, or facilities operations preferred.
  • Basic understanding of networking hardware, server equipment, and infrastructure environments.
  • Experience with shipping/logistics processes and inventory management.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment safely in warehouse and deployment environments.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, inventory systems, and asset tracking tools.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license preferred for shipping drop-offs and local operational support.
