What is a Sleep Tech?

A Sleep Tech, also known as a Sleep Technologist or Polysomnographic Technologist, is a healthcare professional who assists in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. They operate specialized equipment to monitor patients’ sleep patterns, brain activity, breathing, and other vital signs during sleep studies, typically performed overnight in a sleep lab.
