Job description

Join our team as a Full-Time Sleep Technologist Trainee!
This is an entry-level position with on-the-job training provided. This position will will split their time evenly between CHP Main and the CHP North Satellite. Working hours will be 5:45pm-6:15am, 3 nights per week including every other weekend. No holidays!
Under the supervision of physicians and in the presence of a Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT, RRT-SDS, or RST), the Sleep Tech Trainee performs patient care duties and provides excellent customer service while actively completing the ASTEP program and receiving on-the-job training.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Enroll in and complete the ASTEP program within one year of hire
  • Under the direction of senior staff, assist with:
    • Preparing patients for sleep testing
    • Educating patients on sleep procedures
    • Analyzing and scoring sleep studies
    • Performing therapeutic treatments and interventions
    • Complete monthly ISR as a training scorer

Qualifications:
  • HS diploma required.
  • 6 months relevant experience in an allied-health field preferred.
    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
  • BLS required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
