Enrollment Data Specialist

The Enrollment Data Specialist powers the data engine behind our Student Search clients and enrollment strategy operations. This role builds and runs queries and reports in Slate, translates raw enrollment data into actionable insights, and ensures client data communications are clear, accurate, and on time. If you love solving data puzzles in higher education and making complex datasets easy to use, this role keeps our team moving and our clients informed.

What You'll Own

  • Enrollment Strategy Reporting
  • Prepare intermediate to advanced queries and reports in Slate
  • Troubleshoot and provide insights as needed to assist with strategy review
  • Prepare individual project and cross-client data for analysis and reporting
  • Search Data Management
  • Maintain historical and current client data
  • Coordinate data needs with data leads, account managers, and Slate strategists
  • Troubleshoot and provide insights as needed to assist with strategy review
  • Utilize multiple data processing and visualization tools, and list vendor interfaces
  • Manage transfer of client data for Carnegie-hosted Slate instances
  • Source List Purchasing Support
  • Assist Enrollment Data Associates and Enrollment Strategists in purchasing student lists through multiple vendor interfaces based on outlined parameters.
  • Import, map, and validate student list data within Slate to ensure seamless system integration and high accuracy.
  • Internal Project Contribution
  • Contribute to team innovation ideation conversations, taking ownership of projects, processes, and integrations that interest them and meet the needs of the team
  • Complete other data reviews and Slate consultation projects as assigned
  • Assist in competitive intelligence projects and research
  • Identify and implement operational improvements and efficiencies

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of intermediate to advanced experience in the Technolutions Slate CRM (specifically Queries, Reports, and Upload Dataset modules)
  • Experience in higher education, preferably within enrollment
  • Experience manipulating large data files and conducting segmentation marketing analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, and other database or visualization tools
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail, multitasking, prioritization, and decision-making
  • Great interpersonal skills with a desire to contribute actively on internal and client-facing strategy calls
  • Clear communication and time management skills in a remote environment, including comfort switching between multiple tech platforms
  • Curiosity about data challenges, both broad and specific to the college admissions market
  • Ability to work at a computer for prolonged periods
