Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center; named for two Medal of Honor recipients - Colonel Van Barfoot and Colonel Carl Sitter - provides the gold standard in quality care for Virginia's Veterans. This single-level facility features 200 single-occupancy rooms across four nursing units.
Job Duties
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a Certified Nurse Aide.
CNAs are expected to perform the following duties:
• Assist with meals and escorts residents to the dining hall.
• Make rounds regularly, answer call lights promptly and respond courteously.
• Complete all required paperwork/computerized documentation for charting assessments.
• Provide each resident the necessary care in accordance with his/her plan of care and ADL record.
• Monitor and observe residents' physical, mental, and emotional status, and report changes to Charge Nurse.
Minimum Qualifications
• Current Virginia Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of personal care needs and activities of daily living (ADL's).
• Physical ability to turn, bend and lift non-ambulatory adult patients without restrictions.
Additional Considerations
• Experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting.
