Primary Purpose of Position

Provide overall proactive management of the site engineering function including System Engineering, Design Engineering, Engineering Programs and Engineering Administration with respect to station needs and regulatory requirements.


Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Provide overall management of the site engineering function including System Engineering, Design Engineering, Engineering Programs, and Engineering Administration with respect to station needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the performance and development of site engineering personnel relative to site and corporate objectives and provide focus on the attainment of high-quality engineering results.
  • Participates as key manager in Business Planning, Budget, and Business Performance review regarding Site Engineering. Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff (e.g., Employment, Development, Compensation, Performance Evaluation, etc.). Ensures consistent and effective work force practices through assigned supervisors/functions.
  • Manage the execution of Architect/Engineer (A/E) services for the site as they pertain to the engineering function.
  • Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) or related science OR Active/Inactive Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license
  • 12 years overall experience, which includes 4 years power plant, 4 years nuclear power plant experience and 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience
  • Active SRO license, inactive SRO license, SRO certification or plant operational knowledge consistent with the requirements of the engineering manager's job
  • Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
