Job Description:
Monolithic Power, an industry leading power semiconductor company, has been experiencing explosive growth due to our technology, solutions and, most importantly, our team.
We are actively seeking sharp, knowledge thirsty engineering students who are interested in focusing on power. Power is used in every electrical/electronic system, so the need is there and growing. Join an established and rapidly growing segment of electronics.
Our paid Applications Engineer (AE) interns will learn about the company, business, products, technology and team. The intern will be engaged with the AE team providing technical support and development of analog IC and module products for power conversion solutions. Job duties include the simulation and bench evaluation for new products, providing reference designs, debugging customer designs, and writing application notes.
Responsibilities:
  • Research MPS company, power products and technology.
  • Provide application support for customers and Field Application Engineers (FAE).
  • Work with AEs and DEs on new product evaluation and debugs.
  • Write application notes, design notes, and articles.
  • Work in office, or lab, 3 days per week as coordinated with supervisor.
  • Present project summary and results to senior leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Written and verbal proficiency in English with excellent communication skill
  • Hands on experience with power electronics hardware implementation and testing.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout
  • 3rd year BSEE or 4th year MSEE student
  • Must be able to live in San Jose during internship

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The hourly pay range for this position in California is $40/hr.
