Job description

The beautiful Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort and Spa is looking for a Cook I to join the Signature Restaurant team!

Overlooking the rolling hills and majestic live oaks of the Hill Country, our tranquil resort offers over 140,000 sq. ft. of elegant event spaces, a luxury spa, multiple outdoor swimming pools, kid's camp, and an 18-hole golf course. Our four restaurants and five bars offer a range of dining options, from casual to gourmet. We're 20 minutes from San Antonio International Airport, near shopping, dining, and attractions like Six Flags San Antonio.

The ideal candidate is will have previous experience in a restaurant setting. They should have a strong understanding of fine dining techniques, be detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining consistency in both flavor and presentation. The candidate must be comfortable working collaboratively with the kitchen team, managing time efficiently, and upholding high standards of cleanliness and organization.

What will I be doing?

As a Cook, you would be responsible for preparing, producing and working the line for Signature Restaurant in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards

  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times

  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner

  • Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products

  • Stock and maintain designated food station(s)

  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen

  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations

  • Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
