Job description

About the Role

We're looking for a driven, people-first Estimator who can do more than crunch numbers — someone who can walk into a customer's home, build instant rapport, and close the deal. If you love talking to people, have a knack for sales, and can back it up with solid estimating skills, this role was made for you.

As our Estimator, you'll be the face of Painter Bros in the field — meeting homeowners, assessing their projects, and delivering accurate, competitive estimates that win work. You'll play a critical role in our growth by converting leads into signed contracts while supporting accurate project planning and budgeting across our residential and commercial pipeline.

What You'll Do:

  • Meet with residential customers in their homes to assess project scope and build trust from the first handshake
  • Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive estimates for painting and light construction projects
  • Follow up with prospects and guide them through the decision-making process to close
  • Analyze project requirements to determine material, labor, and time needs
  • Collaborate with project managers to refine scope and ensure smooth project handoffs
  • Stay current on material costs, market trends, and competitive pricing
  • Maintain organized records of bids, estimates, and customer communications

What We're Looking For:

  • A natural communicator and closer — someone who genuinely enjoys selling
  • 2+ years of experience in construction, painting estimation, or a related sales role
  • Comfortable working in customers' homes and representing the brand professionally
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple estimates at once
  • Experience with estimating software or CRM tools a plus

What We Offer:

  • A company truck
  • A cell phone and laptop
  • All of the marketing materials you need
  • Benefits after 90 days
