POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a Commercial Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our pre-construction phase, estimating costs, preparing bids, and providing insightful analysis to help secure projects. Your expertise in electrical systems will be essential to ensure accurate pricing and competitive proposals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salaried Role: $80,000 - $105,000
  • Sign on bonus: $5,000

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to gather information for estimating processes.
  • Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs for proposals.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements.
  • Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals to clients.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in construction related field preferred OR equivalent field experience
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating, particularly in commercial projects
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, local codes, and regulations
  • Proficiency in estimating software and general office applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
