Job Description

PCI is seeking an experiencedย Project Manager - Mechanical Insulationย for itsย PCI Madison 574ย operations based in Sun Prairie, WI. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical insulation projects (pre-construction through closeout), including planning, execution, and final delivery
  • Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and overall profit & loss responsibility for assigned projects
  • Coordinate with clients, general contractors, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution and alignment with project goals
  • Lead and direct field operations, including labor planning, productivity tracking, and performance management of crews and supervisors
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met and proactively addressing delays or risks
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks, resolving jobsite issues to avoid rework, delays, or cost impacts
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and client requirements, maintaining a strong safety culture across projects
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment specific to mechanical insulation systems (pipe, duct, vessel insulation, etc.)
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure scope accuracy and proper installation of insulation systems
  • Oversee change orders, RFIs, and project documentation to maintain accurate project records and financial alignment
  • Collaborate across multiple trades to coordinate insulation installation with mechanical systems, ensuring proper sequencing and system readiness
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to drive repeat business and project success
  • Lead project meetings, communicate updates with stakeholders, and provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and financial status
  • Mentor and develop project engineers and field team members, supporting team growth and long-term success

Salary Range:ย $94,000-$126,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Basic Requirements

  • Must have at leastย 3-5 years of professional experience on construction projects
  • Must have experience inย theย mechanical insulation scopeย ofย constructionย subcontracts
  • Strong ability to readย and interpret specifications and drawings for PCIโ€™s scopes of work
  • Has a strong record ofย establishingย and maintainingย successfulย vendor relationships
  • Displays excellent verbal communication
  • Possessesย a high levelย of attention to detailย 
  • Must haveย proficiencyย withย digitalย constructionย takeoffย andย software
  • Must be able to effectively collaborate within a team

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with working with union representatives.ย 
  • OSHA Certification.
  • Local to the Madison, WI metro area is preferred
