Job description

We are a fast-growing trading card game company looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to join our team and help with product preparation, inventory, and daily order fulfillment. This will start as a part-time role (25-30 hours per week), but may grow into full-time as an option in the future.

Right now, our fulfillment operation is very hands-on. Products arrive to us and must be inspected, sorted, assembled into the correct configurations, packaged, and prepared for shipment. We are processing a growing volume of customer orders each week, and we need another great set of hands to help us keep everything organized, accurate, and moving.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys staying busy, likes organized and repetitive work, pays close attention to details, and takes pride in getting things done correctly.

What You'll Be Doing Product Preparation & Packaging
  • Inspect trading card packs and products for quality and accuracy
  • Sort packs and products into the correct categories and configurations
  • Assemble the correct combination of packs for each finished product
  • Prepare boxes and other product packaging
  • Insert products into packaging according to established specifications
  • Apply the correct product labels and stickers
  • Shrink-wrap finished products
  • Sort and organize completed inventory
  • Help maintain an organized product and fulfillment workspace
  • Identify damaged, incorrect, or questionable products before they are shipped
Order Processing & Shipping
  • Review Shopify orders for accuracy before fulfillment
  • Identify expedited and priority shipments
  • Sync and manage orders through ShipStation
  • Identify customers with multiple orders and merge shipments when appropriate
  • Review and resolve invalid or incomplete shipping addresses
  • Print shipping labels
  • Pick the correct products for each customer order
  • Pack orders carefully and accurately
  • Complete fulfillment and prepare shipments for carrier pickup
  • Double-check orders to ensure customers receive exactly what they purchased
What We're Looking For

The right person for this role is:

  • Extremely reliable and shows up when scheduled
  • Detail-oriented and accurate
  • Organized
  • Comfortable doing hands-on work for several hours at a time
  • Able to follow specific packing and product-configuration instructions
  • Comfortable using a computer and learning basic fulfillment software
  • Able to work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy
  • Someone who notices when something doesn't look right instead of simply sending it through
  • Comfortable working in a small-business environment where priorities can move quickly
  • Positive, trustworthy, and willing to jump in wherever needed

Experience with Shopify, ShipStation, e-commerce fulfillment, inventory, shipping, warehousing, packaging, or order processing is a plus, but not required. We are happy to train the right person.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. You should be comfortable:

  • Standing and working at packing tables for extended periods
  • Reaching, bending, sorting, packing, and organizing product
  • Moving boxes and shipments throughout the workday
  • Performing repetitive packaging and fulfillment tasks
  • Safely lifting and carrying boxes associated with normal shipping and inventory operations
Hours

We expect this position to begin at approximately 2530 hours per week, with the potential for hours and responsibilities to grow as the company grows.

The role is currently in-person because our products are being inspected, assembled, packaged, and shipped from our local fulfillment operation.

About the Role

This isn't a position where you'll spend the day sitting behind a desk. You'll be an important part of both producing inventory and getting our products into customers' hands.

Accuracy matters to us. Whether you're inspecting a pack, assembling a product, catching an incorrect address, or packing a customer's order, we want someone who treats the details as important.

We're building something that is growing quickly, and we're looking for someone who is excited to work hard, become part of the operation, and help us keep up with that growth.
