Shipping & Receiving Supervisor | Sparks, NV


Join a global leader in logistics and data center operations. Nexeo HR is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to support a global logistics and supply chain company’s high-tech data center in Sparks, NV (Near USA Pkwy).

In this leadership role, you will oversee Shipping & Receiving operations within a data center environment, supervise team members, ensure inventory accuracy, and maintain compliance with safety, security, and SLA requirements. Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the Shipping & Receiving team, providing daily leadership and direction
• Assign work, prioritize inbound and outbound activities, and ensure timely task completion
• Train, coach, and mentor team members on SOPs, safety protocols, and documentation standards
• Monitor team performance, attendance, productivity, and quality; address issues as needed
• Serve as an escalation point for operational issues, discrepancies, or delays
• Oversee receiving, inspection, and verification of inbound shipments including IT and infrastructure equipment
• Ensure packing slips, purchase orders, asset documentation, and inventory records align accurately
• Review and approve labeling, staging, routing, and secure handling of high-value assets
• Ensure outbound shipments are properly packed, labeled, staged, and documented per requirements
• Review, validate, and approve Bills of Lading (BOL) and shipping documentation
• Maintain chain-of-custody controls and support secure handling procedures
• Ensure accurate inventory transactions within EWM and asset management systems
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance with all SOPs and data center standards
• Partner with inventory, facilities, and operations teams to support cross-functional goals
• Enforce safety, security, and compliance requirements and identify process improvement opportunities


Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in shipping & receiving, warehouse, logistics, or data center operations
• 2+ years of supervisory or people-management experience preferred
• Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-volume environments
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Slides
• Experience with EWM or similar warehouse management systems
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and detail
• Comfortable working in time-sensitive operational environments
• Willingness to support cross-functional teams as needed
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand/walk/bend throughout the shift
• Reliable transportation to Sparks, NV (near USA Parkway)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must pass a national background check and pre-employment drug screening


Pay

$35.00 per hour


Schedule

Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday – Friday
Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
