Shipping & Receiving Associate

BR Printers is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our Kentucky Airport facility. This position plays an important role in keeping materials and finished products moving efficiently throughout our operation. You will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, preparing outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory and shipping documentation, and supporting production with the timely movement of materials.



Requirements

What You'll Do
  • Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Compare received materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and other receiving documentation.
  • Properly label, organize, stage, and store incoming materials in designated locations.
  • Pick, pack, stage, and prepare finished products and materials for outbound shipment.
  • Verify product quantities, shipping addresses, labels, and documentation before orders leave the facility.
  • Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and other required shipping documentation.
  • Coordinate and process shipments through UPS, FedEx, LTL, freight carriers, and other transportation providers.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment as authorized.
  • Move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the warehouse and production areas.
  • Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
  • Communicate shipment delays, damaged materials, shortages, or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
  • Follow all BR Printers safety procedures and company policies.
  • Assist Production, Fulfillment, and Warehouse teams as business needs require.
Who You Are
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, fulfillment, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic math skills and ability to verify quantities.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, packing slips, shipping documents, and written instructions.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn shipping and inventory systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Extra Skills That Set You Apart
  • Previous experience in commercial printing or manufacturing.
  • Forklift experience or current forklift certification.
  • Experience using UPS, FedEx, or other carrier shipping systems.
  • Experience with inventory management or warehouse management systems.
  • Familiarity with bills of lading and LTL/freight shipments.
  • Previous cycle counting or inventory control experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, and repetitive movement.
  • Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment after required training and authorization.
  • Comfortable working around moving equipment, trucks, warehouse traffic, and production machinery.
