Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Specialist to manage all aspects of domestic and international shipping operations. This role is responsible for preparing, packing, labeling, and processing shipments while ensuring compliance with carrier requirements, export regulations, and company procedures. The ideal candidate has experience with parcel and LTL freight shipments, export documentation, material handling equipment, and shipping software including UPS WorldShip.
Job Details:
  • Prepare, pack, and ship domestic and international orders accurately and efficiently
  • Process shipments using UPS WorldShip and other carrier platforms
  • Coordinate parcel, LTL, and freight shipments with various carriers
  • Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and other shipping documentation
  • Process export paperwork including ITNs (Internal Transaction Numbers), AES filings, and customs documentation
  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and hazardous material guidelines when applicable
  • Operate forklifts/fork trucks and overhead cranes to move materials and prepare shipments safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload trucks, pallets, crates, and freight shipments
  • Verify shipment accuracy against customer orders and company specifications
  • Schedule carrier pickups and communicate shipment status to internal teams and customers
  • Track shipments and resolve shipping delays, damages, or customs issues as needed
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes
  • Monitor shipping supplies and maintain an organized shipping/receiving area
  • Assist with inventory movement, receiving, and warehouse support as required
  • Follow company safety procedures and shipping best practices
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor

Preferred Education/Training/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of shipping/logistics experience preferred
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping processes
  • Proficiency with UPS WorldShip and common shipping carrier systems
  • Knowledge of parcel, LTL, freight, and export shipping procedures
  • Experience processing ITNs, AES filings, customs forms, and export documentation
  • Fork truck/forklift and overhead crane operating experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift packages and materials up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Familiarity with Incoterms and international trade compliance
  • Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environments
