Job description

Position Summary

Perform all aspects of shipping, receiving and internal logistics operations including documentation, physical and transactional material movement, packaging, labeling, container loading and unloading, inventory management, invoicing, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all logistics operations – packaging, labeling, documentation preparation and review, compliance verification, inspections, inventorying and MRP processing
  • Schedule shipments of incoming materials, outgoing finished goods and miscellaneous items supporting plant operations
  • Verify the quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing materials and finished goods
  • Perform internal logistical and material handling operations, material deliveries and returns to stock
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts, support physical inventory events
  • Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance
  • Assist in maintaining a motivated and disciplined workforce
  • Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations and requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience leading shipping and receiving operations
    • creating and completing all documentation for domestic and international shipping (labels, BOLs, dispatch documentation, PODs, POs, packing slips, CoOs, waybills, manifests, security filings, etc.)
    • scheduling carriers for domestic and international shipping
    • processing receipts and shipments physically and transactionally ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory control, documentation, record keeping, invoicing and material handling operations
  • Relevant computer expertise
    • Inventory management systems
    • MS Office applications
  • 5 years of forklift experience (certified or able to be certified)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Personal and professional accountability
  • High School Degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Qualifications +10 years
  • Professional certification: CLTD, CPSM, WMC etc.
  • College Degree

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a production environment - PPE usage requirements exist
