Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Transportation team as a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator. In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining the flow of freight with the highest level of accuracy and quality. You will work within established guidelines to ensure that our customers' freight is handled efficiently and on time.
  • Process drivers at check-in window, ensuring correctness of freight documentation such as bill of ladings.
  • Prints the drivers' manifest and provide any hazardous materials bills of lading to the appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Verify delivery receipts and signatures.
  • Scan bills of lading and driver receipts into system for billers to access.
  • Handles and processes checks, COD's, or cash as needed and stows money safely (Varies by location).
  • Verifies and handles driver collects and COD's (varies by location).
  • Verifies and/or records any cash or check payments.
  • Enter exception Delivery Receipts process on any/all pro numbers manually.
  • Communicate with warehouse and customer service personnel for any exceptions.
  • Answers phones, sets appointments, and traces shipments as necessary
  • Work assigned shift as needed, must be available to work depending on customer pick-up and delivery schedules.
  • Administrative responsibilities such as filing, data entry, and system updates.

Salary: $20.00 an hour
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in shipping and receiving or a related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work within established guidelines and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook).
