Job Description

This role offers a range of $24 to $34 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.

Performs key administrative functions in addition to those of a Shipping Clerk and/or Material Handler.  Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products for the home branch. Reports to Shipping Supervisor for performance of assigned functions.  Coordinates with Production department for shipment of materials.  As a Shipping/Receiving Admin you will be responsible to:

  • Create daily pick list.  Reviews orders and production schedules through ZSORDER to determine material shipping dates, then creates pick lists accordingly. 
  • Check stock.  Goes through order confirmations.  Allocates stock to the customers' orders by using SAP (MD04) to calculate inventory availability to ship the orders.
  • Plan shipments.  Responsible for planning shipments and transportation according to the customer E.T.A.
  • Process domestic shipments.  Responsible for coordinating with Production and Shipping functions to ensure customer orders are processed in the SAP system.
  • Create Bills of Lading.  Assists Shipping Department with documentation for outbound shipments and customer returns
  • Process International shipments
  • Investigate discrepancies.  Assists with investigating the root cause of any discrepancies throughout the shipments.
  • Responsible for checking emails and responding to emails pertaining to the Shipping Department.
  • Post goods issued.  Responsible for checking and posting good issues off the inventory
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Have 1-3 months related experience
  • Have prior leadership skills
  • Have excellent written, reading comprehension and math skills
  • Be able to operate a forklift, cherry picker and turret
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs and other computer skills
  • Be able to bend, push or pull when required

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Previous hazardous materials training
  • SAP knowledge
