Position Overview
Perform all ERP operating system shipping and receiving processes and export paperwork.
Areas of Focus
Complete all administrative tasks associated with a shipping and receiving department.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for most verbal and electronic communication with internal customers
• Understanding of IMO's, Commercial Invoices, Dangerous Goods, MSDS, BOL's, Letter of Credit, shipping tracking numbers
• Handle all inquiries with TBC Customer Service Rep's and other departments if needed
• Update and distribute all warehouse KPI's
• Handle all shipping/receiving documents to other TBC facilities
• Process all customer based ASN's
• Analyze, create and format Excel Spreadsheets
• Control and update daily/weekly/monthly reports
• Label Printing
• Answer all calls for Traffic Coordinator and Shipping Clerk when they are unavailable.
• Set appointments with carriers when Traffic Coordinator is unavailable
• Provide administrative support to the Warehouse team, ensuring all processes are implemented effectively and standards of performance are attained
• Manage the flow of emails in and out for all Warehouse activities
• Manage & file all Warehouse paperwork
• Customer focused and service orientated
• Strong administrative skills and attention to detail, highly organized and works well in a fast pace environment
• Excellent planning and time management skills with ability to meet exacting deadlines and priorities appropriately
• Excellent communication skills
• Fully conversant with various inventory/shipping systems and demonstrable experience in efficient stock management
• Able to process small packages shipments such as UPS
• Manage freight claims
• Strong Computer and technical skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Understand different modes of transportation including Incoterms
• Writing skills are clear concise and accurate
• Follow SOP's and work instructions
• Follow quality system procedures
• Perform other duties as may be assigned
Basic Qualifications
• High School Diploma or greater
• 2-3 years of shipping related experience required
• Experience working in a shipping/receiving office Customer service office
• Capable of using Microsoft Office
• Must be able to drive to different Company locations at different hours of the day to accommodate multiple locations/shifts
Preferred Qualifications
• Bi-lingual Spanish
