The Shipping Admin is a key part of our business. Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipping Admin is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through all the shipping operations as assigned. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment, this is the role for you. Successful candidates will have some prior experience in materials & shipping, working in a team environment and working in Microsoft Dynamics AX MRP system.
What You Will Do:
  • Complete inventory transactions electronically to accurately account for material movement, consumption, rework and scrap.

  • Ensure that proper workplace organization initiatives and standard practices are followed within work processes.

  • Ensure inventory is in proper containers, correctly identified, and in the proper locations (including, but not limited to part number, finish, quantity).

  • Perform cycle counts on inventory as requested/scheduled; including all WIP that has not been keyed.

  • Root cause inventory discrepancy and availability issues. Work with team members to resolve underlying process, training and set-up issues.

  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure the Shipping Warehouse is prepared to be inventory exempt by .

What You Need to Succeed:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Min. Yrs. Experience: 1-3 in a manufacturing/distribution environment.

  • Knowledge of plant receiving, operations, materials movement processes, and shipping processes.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Valid forklift certification or demonstration of standard skills required of lift truck operators within (30) days of job assignment.

  • Preferred candidate has ability to identify parts by finish and designation.
