Operations Administrative Assistant

Location: LaPorte, IN
Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday | 7:00 AM โ€“ 3:30 PM (Overtime as Needed)
Pay: $24.00โ€“$27.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time | Hourly, Non-Exempt

Worldwide Foam is looking for a highly organized and motivated Operations Administrative Assistant to support our Operations Manager and help keep our manufacturing facility running efficiently. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their day, and wants to play a key role in supporting production, shipping, inventory, safety, and operational initiatives.

What You'll Do
  • Support daily operations across production, shipping, receiving, and administrative functions.
  • Prepare reports, metrics, presentations, and operational documentation.
  • Maintain employee training records, compliance documentation, and departmental files.
  • Assist with ERP transactions, including work orders, fulfillments, and inventory receipts.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees.
  • Purchase office and operational supplies while monitoring inventory levels.
  • Schedule inbound deliveries and coordinate logistics.
  • Assist with fleet administration, vehicle maintenance scheduling, and driver documentation.
  • Coordinate projects by tracking milestones, deadlines, and action items.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments to support operational goals.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Previous administrative or operations support experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable learning and working within ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Experience with ISO documentation or quality systems is a plus.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve productivity is a plus.
