Position Summary Assistant Clinical Director Job in St. Augustine, Florida

We are hiring anAssistant Clinical Directorto join our leadership team in St. Augustine. This role is ideal for alicensed mental health professionalseeking to work in youth behavioral health, juvenile care, or residential treatment. Youll provide direct clinical services, supervise clinical staff, and support youth through the stabilization and treatment process.


Assistant Clinical Director Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the implementation of individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment plans
  • Provide ongoing assessment, evaluation, and counseling to youth and their families under supervision of the licensed Clinical Director
  • Oversee the delivery and documentation of all mental health and substance abuse services, including biopsychosocial assessments
  • Supervise, direct, and evaluate clinical and case management staff
  • Provide or coordinate training for clinical staff and direct-care teams
  • Supervise specialized treatment programs such as Sexual Offender Treatment or Seven Challenges
  • Provide diagnostic evaluations, individual therapy, and crisis interventions
  • Participate in on-call clinical duties as needed
  • Serve as backup to the Designated Mental Health Authority when required by contract or regulations


Required Qualifications

  • Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Clinical Psychologist
  • Masters degree in counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, or related human services field
  • Minimum two years of direct-care clinical experience, with at least one year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
  • Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work with youth in challenging situations


Preferred Experience

  • Experience with trauma-informed care, group modalities, and residential settings
  • Familiarity withchild welfare, juvenile justice systems, and substance abuse treatment
  • Experience with EMR systems and clinical documentation standards


Other Requirements

  • Physical Demands:Must be in good physical health and emotionally stable. Must be able to actively engage with youth, transport clients, and participate in physical interventions if needed. Free of communicable diseases as defined by the state. Must pass evaluation of physical techniques and written certification exam.
  • Other:Valid state drivers license. Must meet state criminal background check requirements. Flexibility to work irregular hours as needed.
