Job description

Position Summary


Lending Hand Mortgage is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and non-QM loan products and possess the ability to manage a high-volume pipeline while delivering exceptional customer service.

The Mortgage Loan Processor serves as a critical liaison between borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and other third parties to ensure accurate, complete, and timely loan files from application through closing.


Key Responsibilities


  • Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Process residential mortgage loan files from application through closing.
  • Collect and verify borrower income, assets, employment, credit, and other required documentation.
  • Order and review appraisals, title work, flood certifications, verifications, and other third-party services.
  • Submit complete and accurate loan packages to underwriting.
  • Review underwriting conditions and work directly with borrowers and loan officers to obtain required documentation.
  • Maintain regular communication with borrowers, real estate agents, loan officers, underwriters, and settlement agents.
  • Monitor loan pipelines to ensure timely processing and on-time closings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, investor, and company guidelines.
  • Update loan status and maintain accurate records within the Loan Origination System (LOS).
  • Identify and resolve file deficiencies and processing obstacles proactively.
  • Coordinate closing documentation and final approval requirements.


Required Qualifications


  • Minimum 3+ years of mortgage loan processing experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, and non-QM guidelines.
  • Experience with mortgage compliance requirements including TRID and RESPA.
  • Proficiency with mortgage LOS platforms such as Encompass, Arive, or similar systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of income calculation, credit analysis, and asset documentation.


Preferred Qualifications


  • 5+ years of recent mortgage processing experience.
  • Experience processing correspondent, wholesale, and retail loan products.
  • Familiarity with automated underwriting systems including DU and LP.
  • NMLS licensing knowledge is a plus.
