Job description

Triad Machinery is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as Service Manager at our Sumner, WA​ facility. An ideal candidate will value teamwork, customer success, and leaving a positive impact on the community.

For more than 30 years, Triad Machinery has been a Pacific Northwest leader in forestry, cranes, and construction equipment. From sales to service, parts to administration, our team members are the lifeblood of the Triad Machinery family. Objective
This person will work closely with the Sumner Branch Manager, parts personnel and mechanics to create high quality and profitable service delivery to both external and internal customers. The Service Manager position maintains the highest level of expertise within the Service Department to meet the needs of Triad Machinery, its dealers, and customers.
Requirements Include
  • Three to five years of heavy equipment dealership service management experience.
  • Experience managing customer needs in a courteous and professional manner, and effectively processing customer questions, queries and problems directly and quickly.
  • Mechanical experience preferred in heavy equipment, diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical is preferred.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the Triad Machinery branch in Sumner, WA.
Overall Responsibilities
  • Manage Service Department to achieve budgeted sales and margins balanced with customer responsiveness and integrity
  • Communicate with other branch Service Managers regarding common service issues, sharing solutions, maximizing labor utilization and constantly working to optimize and standardize service operations company wide
  • Create and review all work orders to ensure complete and accurate descriptions of work performed, listed parts are accurate and complete, ascertain purchase orders, review WIP reports, and closure of jobs in a timely manner
  • Work with Manufacturers Product Support Representatives to submit timely warranty claims and negotiate where necessary
  • Responsible for receiving phone calls for incoming requests for service work and creating work schedules for shop and field mechanics.
  • Ability to adjust work schedules as required to accommodate changing priorities of order of importance and required timelines.
