As an Area Manager, you'll directly manage one salon while also supporting and coaching a team of Salon Managers across a small group of additional locations.

This role is ideal for an experienced salon or multi-unit leader who enjoys developing managers, maintaining strong brand standards, and driving consistent performance across teams.

We're looking for a licensed cosmetologist or barber who enjoys cutting hair, coaching managers, and developing stylists into top performers. This hands-on role supports multiple busy salons while leading by example behind the chair. Base pay ranges from $25-$34/hour, with tips, bonuses, and performance incentives bringing earning potential to $40-$50+/hour. Weekly pay, a 401(k) with company match, medical, dental, vision, paid vacation, and sick time are all part of the package.

To succeed as an Area Manager in a Great Clips salon organization, you'll need:

• Previous salon management experience or multi-unit retail management experience
• A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License (requirements vary by state/province)
• The desire and ability to manage a salon's daily operations while motivating and supporting other Salon Managers
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
• Experience identifying performance gaps and implementing improvement plans
• Flexibility to work across multiple salon locations within the surrounding area
• Commitment to collaboration and accountability with a focus on proactively seeking solutions to challenges
