Job Title: Server Assistant
Department: Front of House
Reports To: Restaurant Manager
Summary: A Server Assistant helps hosts and servers ensure prompt and polite service to guests. They are responsible for preparing service stations, running food to tables, refilling beverages, clearing and resetting tables, removing trays/stands from dining rooms, cleaning service stations and dining areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome guests
  • Present and collect menus
  • Serve ice, water, bread and condiments
  • Assist waitstaff in delivering orders to guests
  • Clear, clean and reset tables with silverware, glassware and other items
  • Transport dirty dishes from dining room to kitchen
  • Prepare tables for service by moving and setting them
  • Brew coffee and tea
  • Clean work areas, sinks, counters, display, buffet, tables, chairs and other equipment
  • Stock server station with supplies
  • Empty wastebaskets and remove trash
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to grasp, lift, carry or otherwise move or push with or without reasonable accommodations
