Position Summary for Restaurant Assistant Manager:

The Restaurant Assistant Manager serves as a key operational partner to the Chef and Owner, acting as their right-hand person in leading daily restaurant operations and ensuring the successful execution of the group's vision, standards, and goals.


This role provides leadership and support across the restaurant group, driving exceptional guest experiences, team performance, operational efficiency, and financial success. The Restaurant Assistant Manager helps oversee staff development, maintain quality and service standards, manage costs, ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, and foster a positive, high-performing work environment.


This is a full-time position and will support two restaurant locations, along with supporting catering and food truck operations as needed.


Key Responsibilities for Restaurant Assistant Manager:

  • Support employee onboarding and training of team members.
  • Assist with scheduling shifts, approving timecards and time off, and managing labor costs.
  • Coach employees on performance, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Be a champion and model for a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure smooth front-of-house and back-of-house coordination.
  • Monitor service quality, food presentation, and cleanliness standards.
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve complaints professionally.
  • Assist with inventory control and ordering supplies.
  • Monitor sales performance and help achieve revenue targets.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain workplace safety and sanitation standards.
  • Support additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:

Qualifications for Restaurant Assistant Manager:

  • Prior restaurant experience required; supervisory or management experience preferred.
