Job description


In this position, you will have responsibility for regulatory filings for multiple lines of business across multiple jurisdictions. You will be responsible for preparation, submission and coordination of forms, rules and loss cost filings and related objections through SERFF, FilingRamp and e-mail. The role also involves monitoring objections and regulatory correspondence; and partnering with internal stakeholders and insurance department contacts to help ensure timely approvals and implementation. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, knowledge of the P&C marketplace, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare filings and objection responses in SERFF and/or FilingRamp for multiple states and jurisdictions to ensure timely approval and implementation of ISO's regulatory filings of insurance program coverage forms, manuals, pricing and related products.
  • Ensure the necessary filing forms/certification forms/checklists are included prior to submission of filings and that the appropriate filing mechanics are applied.
  • Monitor SERFF and e-mail for incoming objections and communicate these to the appropriate internal stakeholders to ensure timely responses. Request and communicate extensions when needed.
  • Communicate with Insurance department and Bureau staff regarding filings, objections and inquiries.

Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years' experience within the P&C industry. Experience in state filings and regulatory compliance are preferred.
  • Superior interpersonal and oral/written communication.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the current P/C marketplace.
  • Understanding and use of ISO products is desirable.
