Travel: 25-30% (Client Sites)
Work Hours: Eastern / Central Time Zones
Job Overview
Interscripts, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Workday Security Analyst / Architect to join its Enterprise Applications practice. This is a hands-on architect-level role responsible for designing, implementing, and governing Workday security frameworks across HCM, Finance, and Payroll modules.
Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture & Design
  • Design end-to-end Workday security models (RBAC, domain security, intersection security, BP security)
  • Implement least-privilege access aligned with SOX, HIPAA, and compliance requirements
  • Define reusable security standards and frameworks
  • Lead security decisions across Workday modules (HCM, Finance, Payroll)

Implementation & Delivery
  • Lead security workstream during Workday implementations
  • Configure security groups (User-Based, Role-Based, Intersection)
  • Perform tenant security gap assessments and remediation planning
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and Workday PSG teams

Governance, Audit & Compliance
  • Conduct access reviews and SoD analysis
  • Maintain audit documentation and compliance evidence
  • Address audit findings and manage remediation timelines
  • Assess impact of Workday updates/releases on security

Client Engagement& Stakeholder Management
  • Act as Workday Security SME for stakeholders and leadership
  • Travel to client sites for workshops and go-live support
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Contribute to internal knowledge base and proposals

Requirements
Certifications (Mandatory)
  • Active Workday Pro Certification in Security (HCM or Financials)

Experience
  • 8+ years overall IT experience
  • 5+ years in Workday Security Analyst role
  • Architect/Lead experience in Workday security engagements
  • Hands-on expertise in:
    • Security groups
    • Domain security policies
    • Business process security
  • Experience in SOX-compliant environments and SoD management
  • Industry experience preferred: Healthcare / Financial Services / Public Sector
  • Consulting experience preferred

Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Workday security architecture
  • Experience with Workday reporting, audit trails, monitoring
  • Knowledge of Workday Studio, EIB, and integration security
  • Understanding of IAM/IGA concepts
  • Experience with GRC tools (ServiceNow GRC, RSA Archer, Saviynt - preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Workday Extend / Prism Analytics security
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53, HIPAA, FedRAMP
  • Experience with Workday Government/Education
  • Experience with Workday partners (Big 4, Accenture, Deloitte, etc.)
  • Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
Work Conditions
  • Remote role (United States only)
