To thrive as a Senior Web Designer, you need advanced proficiency in visual design, user experience (UX), HTML/CSS, and a solid portfolio demonstrating your work, often supported by a degree in graphic or web design. Expertise with design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, and familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress is typically required. This often involves participating in regular meetings, providing design assets, and giving feedback during development sprints. Senior Web Designers also help bridge the gap between creative vision and technical implementation by communicating design intentions clearly and addressing any feasibility concerns. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as they frequently provide guidance to junior designers and ensure alignment across the team.
