Role
The SecOps Senior Solutions Engineer provides advanced technical implementation and strategic support for complex security and network solutions while taking a prominent role in pre-sale consulting activities. This senior-level position combines deep technical expertise with client advisory capabilities, working independently with Solutions Architects, Account Managers, and Project Managers to drive client success. The Senior Solutions Engineer leads the design, configuration, and implementation of sophisticated enterprise solutions while building long-term trusted advisor relationships with clients and delivering exceptional managed services operations.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of complex client security and network infrastructure including enterprise networking architectures, next-gen firewalls, and network automation solutions.
  • Provide senior-level technical leadership and mentor junior engineers, delivering engineering excellence throughout sophisticated post-sale implementations and pre-sale consulting engagements.
  • Design client solutions based on comprehensive analysis of business and technical requirements in collaboration with Solutions Architects and project teams.
  • Proactively support and enhance security and network infrastructure for managed services clients with accountability for reliability and performance outcomes.
  • Develop deep expertise in clients' technical environments, strategic priorities, business challenges, and initiatives while mapping complex requirements to AE's advanced service offerings.
  • Deliver exceptional client experience through expert-level communication, sophisticated technical presentations, and outstanding service delivery.
  • Communicate with authority and professionalism with clients at all organizational levels, team members, and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Deeply knowledgeable and experienced in modern data networking domains (data center, campus, wireless) and modern network security.
  • Four or more years of hands-on implementation experience in each of these areas:
  • A major enterprise network security platform (Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point)
  • A major route/switch platform (Arista, Aruba, Cisco, Juniper)
  • A major enterprise wireless platform (Aruba, Cisco, Juniper/Mist, Arista)
  • Network Automation (Ansible, Python, et. al)
  • Experience in any of these areas is desirable:
  • Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
  • SASE/SSE Solutions (Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, Netskope, Cato, et. al)
  • Network Automation (Ansible, Python, et. al)
  • Multi-Cloud Networking / IXPs (Alkira, Equinix, et. al)
  • DDoS / WAF Solutions (Cloudflare, Fastly, Akamai, et. al)
  • DDI Solutions (Bluecat, Infoblox, et. al)
  • Observability Solutions (LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, LiveAction, et. al)
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with proven track record of resolving complex technical issues.
  • Strong customer service orientation with focus on building trusted client relationships and delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to balance multiple priorities and projects.
  • Willingness to travel for client implementations and support as needed.
