Job Summary

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you determine customer needs for solutions and services from NetApp. You analyse customer requirements and convert them into technical solution concepts. You can present NetApp technologies to customers at different levels of responsibility, adapt to the interlocutors and question their motives and motivational factors. You not only support sales in the first technical customer discussions but are also responsible for the technical elaboration of the solutions offered.

Job Responsibilities
  • Represent NetApp as the technical expert across customer engagements, ensuring a strong, credible technical presence.
  • Analyze customers’ existing environments, including cloud, IT infrastructure, networks, applications, backup systems, and storage landscapes.
  • Act as a Trusted Advisor, guiding customers through technical decision‑making and long‑term architectural planning.
  • Develop solution concepts and architectures tailored to customer needs, transformation goals, and business priorities.
  • Deliver technical presentations to both small and large audiences, clearly articulating solution value and design rationale.
  • Collaborate closely with the Client Executive, maintaining active customer contact and ensuring unified account strategy.
  • Handle complex technical inquiries with confidence, providing expert guidance and ensuring professional, high‑quality execution.
  • Support the full sales cycle by aligning technical solutions with customer roadmaps and NetApp’s portfolio capabilities.
Job Requirements
  • Interest in current trends in IT and technologies used (e.g. public clouds, hybrid clouds, container technologies, DevOps concepts, artificial intelligence)
  • High motivation to actively advise our customers on their path to digital transformation and to develop joint solutions
  • You can think analytically, are creative and team-oriented
  • You like to bring different people together and work towards a common goal
  • IT knowledge, including in enterprise/cloud computing, virtualization, storage, backup or high availability solutions
  • Knowledge of storage technologies is desirable
  • Successfully completed technical training or technical studies with appropriate professional experience
  • Very good knowledge of Norwegianand English Language
