Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Product & Business Operations, leads a team responsible for driving the strategic integration of product and operational planning to enable business growth and operational excellence. This role partners closely with executive and senior leadership across Sales, Go‑to‑Market (GTM), Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless alignment between product strategies, demand forecasts, and financial outcomes. The Senior Manager serves as a key operational leader, accountable for business results, resource management, and the development of a high‑performing team of professionals.

Duties & Responsibilities Sales & Operations Planning Leadership
  • Lead the end‑to‑end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between product category strategies, market demand, and operational execution
  • Oversee the development of product category forecasts in partnership with Demand Planning, providing strategic guidance and validation based on business trends and insights
  • Partner with GTM leaders to shape and influence promotional, distribution, and channel strategies, translating them into actionable operational and demand plans
  • Direct the analysis of consumables and parts, dealer inventory, and sell‑through performance to identify risks and opportunities impacting revenue and profitability
  • Provide strategic recommendations to address slow‑moving or obsolete inventory, collaborating with GTM teams and Finance to optimize working capital and business outcomes
Financial Forecasting & Strategic Budget Management
  • Own the operational and product financial forecasting process, ensuring alignment between business operations and GTM planning
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and financial predictability through enhanced analytics, systems, and processes
  • Oversee sales and profit performance reporting, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior management
  • Partner with GTM teams to set and manage annual, quarterly, and monthly sales and operational budgets, including markdown and promotional investments
  • Evaluate and communicate the financial implications of operational decisions to optimize resource allocation and performance
Product & Inventory Operations
  • Provide strategic oversight of product lifecycle management, ensuring effective planning for product launches, transitions, and end‑of‑life
  • Partner with Supply Planning and GTM teams to ensure optimal inventory health, balancing service levels, cost efficiency, and working capital goals
  • Lead the creation and governance of pricing structures, channel price lists, and operational data integrity (weights, dimensions, SKUs, etc.) to support commercial execution
  • Anticipate and proactively address inventory and supply challenges through scenario planning and data‑driven recommendations
Team & Cross‑functional Leadership
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of business operations professionals to deliver excellence in forecasting, analytics, and planning
  • Serve as a key interface between operational teams and senior leadership, communicating insights, challenges, and opportunities that impact business strategy
  • Establish performance standards and KPIs for the function, lead performance reviews, compensation decisions, and talent development initiatives
Experience & Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
Experience
  • 8+ years of experience spanning the following areas:
    • Proven experience leading end‑to‑end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, integrating demand, supply, and financial planning to drive business alignment and performance;
    • Experience with product lifecycle and inventory management;
    • Experience managing and developing a team
Software/Technical Skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Knowledge of Data Analysis and Forecasting Tools (Excel SAP, Tableau, etc.)
Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Ability to create and present strong, strategic presentations, with an in‑depth understanding of business and product operations
  • Familiarity with budget management and P&L concepts to drive financial planning and performance tracking
  • Ability to work independently & provide effective business‑driven recommendations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, exhibiting a customer‑centric focus
  • Ability to drive projects from concept to implementation & post‑analysis, leading cross‑functional teams on key projects

  • Ability to analyze large sets of data to forecast demand, track inventory levels and develop actionable insights from data

Additional Details for This Role

This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by your manager. #LI‑Hybrid

Base Salary
  • The targeted base salary range for this position is$140,000.00- $170,000.00per year.
  • Base salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the successful candidate, as well as factors such as internal equity, cost of labor in the hiring location, and alignment with market data.
Additional Compensation
  • This position is eligible for a20%bonus at 100% of target, with the opportunity to achieve above 100% dependent on company performance and in alignment with company bonus plans.
  • Bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon individual performance as well as Brother achieving its corporate objectives, in accordance with the applicable bonus plan in effect.

About Where We Work

Brother’s corporate headquarters for the Americas is in Bridgewater, NJ, across from the Bridgewater Commons Mall. This location houses key corporate functions, including HR, legal, finance, IT, and supply chain, and a significant presence of our business unit leadership and marketing teams. Our manufacturing and distribution facility in Bartlett, TN spans an impressive 1.5 million square feet - equivalent to 26 football fields - and is located on Brother Boulevard. In addition to the distribution center operations team, this facility hosts several other departments, including our customer service group. Brother also has employees based in other locations, such as Westminster, CO, where many of our marketing and product engineering team members from the mobile solutions division operate, as well as our distribution centers in Richmond, VA and Perris, CA.
