Job description

Now Hiring a GIS/Routing Analyst in Doraville, Georgia! Will provide support for the Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee territories.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The GIS Analyst will provide technical support utilizing GIS and Route Smart software together with Microsoft Office to perform assignments related to analyzing geographic information, map creation and maintenance of route information and databases with geographically referenced data.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Build and Maintain appropriate RouteSmart Workspaces
  • Route residential and commercial customers utilizing RouteSmart Software
  • Update tower database with customer geocode, route and sequence information
  • Maintain and Create route maps for assigned divisions and/or regions
  • Polygon or shape file drawing
  • Become familiar with various Onboard systems
  • Maintain Geocoding and Geo Positioning information for Onboard Systems
  • Assist Business Systems with ensuring Onboard Systems and Tower information are identical
  • Assist Business Systems with data formatting for Tower uploads
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
  • Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.
  • Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent Attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities with effective distribution of time and effort.
  • Must have revenue accounting understanding and be able to make general ledger journal entries Experience and knowledge working with Solomon (Microsoft Dynamics) and Crystal Reports preferred
  • Ability to work independently or within a team setting
  • Ability to lead and train others
  • Critical thinking aptitude with the ability to analyze data and formulate conclusions and recommendations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to prepare written reports, correspondence and presentations to senior leadership and ability to lead
  • Superior written and oral communication skills combined with above average organization, interpersonal, listening, presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Professional demeanor and ability to function with the utmost honesty and integrity.
  • Proficiency in using array of software packages, including MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong customer orientation is essential
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and switch between projects

Education and Experience
  • Solid waste industry experienced preferred
  • BA in Business or Information Technology or AA and combined experience preferred
