Job description

As a Senior Research Analyst at CBRE, you will provide research and analytical support for the Palo Alto commercial real estate markets. This role involves both routine tasks related to data collection and analysis, as well as a variety of activities that contribute to the team's production and delivery of research materials.
What You'll Do:
• Assist in the creation of standard and customized research reports, including local thought leadership content. You will work both under the supervision of the Research Manager and independently.
• Collaborate with producers, Sales Management, and Marketing teams on pitches, proposals, and business development projects.
• Research and collect market information on the Palo Alto commercial real estate market, with a focus on all property types.
• Gather, analyze, interpret, and disseminate data on available properties, lease and sale transactions, tenant activity, and new developments.
• Present market research findings to internal and external audiences to inform decision-making.
• Conduct more advanced data analysis to address complex inquiries.
• Assist in the supervision, mentoring and training of Research Analysts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
To perform this job successfully, an individual will need to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related field of study.
• 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate, preferably in a research-oriented role. Experience in a similar capacity outside of commercial real estate may be considered.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles.
• Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
• Strong technical skills with a focus on data analysis. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Experience using Tableau and Power BI for data visualization is a plus.
• An understanding of research fundamentals. Knowledge of how to apply research and data analytics expertise to the benefit of our brand and core businesses.
• Must have project management skillset. Can oversee small projects or assigned project tasks, determine priorities and develop a through-line to completion, including harnessing the right resources and collaborating along the way.
• Commitment to time management. The ability to adhere to deadlines and complete all requests in a timely manner is crucial.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr Research Analyst position is $90,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr Research Analyst position is $100,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
