As a Senior Program Planner at BAE Systems, you will prepare, develop and coordinate the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives. Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including but not limited to finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality. Monitors program schedule performance, tracks plans and schedules, perform risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. Updates and prepares reports for internal stakeholders, leadership and external customers.

Work Format
This role is intended to be performed in a hybrid / remote format, with the individual splitting their time between our sites in either Wayne, New Jersey or Greenlawn, New York, and remotely from an alternate work location. For the right individual, a full-time remote format may be considered.

This position will be posted for at least 5 calendar days. The posting will remain active until the position is filled, or a qualified pool of candidates is identified.
Required Skills and Education
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Technical field of study, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar applicable discipline; or equivalent experience, and four (4) years of planning/scheduling experience; or a Master's Degree and three (3) year of related experience.
  • Ability to develop an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) that will guide program execution and serve as the basis for Earned Value performance.
  • Lead the planning, establishment and maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline; including support of an Integrated Baseline Review (IBR).
  • Understand trends using effective schedule metrics, suggests corrective actions in a timely manner and supports implementation.
  • Proactively engages in program execution and risk management.
  • Participate in the Risk Management process with the ability to perform Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA) and provide analysis of the results to the program team.
  • Review, recommend and implement, as appropriate, schedule work-around or recovery plans in a proactive manner
  • Routinely assist program management by monitoring SPI/CPI and BEI/CEI performance and preparing schedule status reports for customer and/or business management reviews

Preferred Skills and Education
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional work teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Project or other Planning SW, MS Excel, and MS Office applications.
  • Experience with SSI Tool Set, WBS Pro, Deltek COBRA and Schedule Risk Software.
  • Experience with project forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Defense environment.
  • Understanding and knowledge with regards to industry Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide (PASEG).
  • General understanding of US DoD schedule policies and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) requirements.
