As Senior Privacy Counsel you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team on privacy issues impacting Apple’s business and products globally. You will work directly with business and engineering teams to design innovative privacy solutions for products as well as across the legal department on Apple activities and regulatory issues.
Description
You will be responsible for advising and providing support on privacy related aspects for Apple’s various products and services and work alongside legal, engineering and business teams. This role will be onreport through the Privacy Legal team that supports privacy product counseling for Apple’s services businesses. You will directly support Apple advertising and services marketing teams group and will work closely with our privacy policy colleagues in helping advise the business and engineering teams on cutting-edge privacy issues.","responsibilities":"Deep understanding of general privacy laws, regulations, requirements and industry best practices.

Supporting and monitoring a privacy program, as needed, to ensure that technology and business processes meet applicable legal requirements.

Identifying and communicating potential risks areas with leadership.
Staying informed of and properly communicating any changes to or developments in privacy laws, regulations, standards, and guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing strategic and practical advice to product, business, and engineering teams
Experience in the ad tech space
Experience advising on regulatory compliance and inquiries
Ability to lead, take action, and provide direction in the face of ambiguity
Ability to get results in diverse, fast paced environments
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years professional legal experience advising on privacy laws
Knowledge of comprehensive privacy laws, and regulatory and other guidance and standards
Deep understanding of US state and federal sector-specific privacy laws
Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise and build relationships with senior leaders, teammates, and cross-functional colleagues
Able to clearly organize and inform through excellent written and verbal communications
Experience quickly issue-spotting, analyzing, and clearly communicating privacy advice on complex legal issues
Experience drafting and negotiating privacy related contracts
Strong analytics capability with attention to detail
JD or equivalent with 4-10 years experience in privacy and admission to at least one US state bar.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $230,500 and $346,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
