You’ll be working closely with the Data Analytics and Quality Manager and Data Systems Manager, to maintain existing datasets and develop new ones, conduct analysis and develop insights which inform decision making tools

Key Responsibilities: About the role

You should have a natural affinity for working with data, be methodical and logical, and have a desire to develop both your technical data and subject matter knowledge to maximise the impact your skills can bring to TDi. We are a small team, and so curiosity, critical thinking and initiative are attributes we value very highly. We are more interested in your ability to perform the role and to develop within it, than having a perfect match with our list of experience and skills. So if you don’t match every criterion but think you sound like the right person for this role, we encourage you to apply.

Key responsibilities
  • Support data acquisition, including through the conduct of qualitative and quantitative research to support dataset development and maintenance

  • Support the development of insights, dashboards, scoring frameworks, and sustainability assessment tools
  • Contribute to benchmarking of sustainability standards and corporate compliance frameworks
  • Draft technical reports and concise summaries for client deliverables and internal tools
  • Participate in client‑facing meetings and workshops to present data findings and tool functionality
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, learning materials, and documentation
  • Represent TDi at conferences, industry events, and in thought‑leadership publications
The successful candidate must have the following skills and knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g. social geography, environmental sciences, international development, business, and human rights) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in an applied data and analytical capacity in a relevant area, such as ESG, sustainability, responsible sourcing, or standards initiatives, ideally in a relevant sector (e.g., mining, electronics, energy, agriculture, automotive)
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Working knowledge of Relational Databases, including database design/data normalisation, formulas, and integrations
  • Strong communication skills, able to communicate complex topics clearly and concisely
  • Strong organisational and problem solving skills, with great attention to detail
  • Specific relevant subject matter knowledge is an advantage, such as familiarity with leading ESG frameworks
  • Ability to visualise data and present insights clearly using tools such as PowerPoint or Tableau
  • Relevant coding or programming language knowledge is an advantage
  • Excellent English fluency; Chinese (Mandarin) an advantage
What we can offer you:

This is a chance to work with and learn from a very experienced team and to lead and contribute to several fascinating, influential and potentially ground‑breaking projects in supply chain risk management, responsible sourcing, and impact investing.

  • 40 hour per week contract
  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
  • 23 days of annual leave plus national holidays
  • 3 – 5 days per annum for passion projects
  • Training allowance
  • Tenure based financial rewards
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Diverse, exciting, and high impact work across global supply chains
