Job description

Position Summary
Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Acquisition Program Manager supporting an Air Force acquisition mission at Eglin AFB, FL. In this role, the the Program Manager will support the government with planning, researching, analyzing, and assessing the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of weapons systems and associate equipment acquisitions (development, production and deployment), and formulate plans and recommend strategies to meet cost, schedule and performance objectives.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Provide acquisition program management support across all phases of the DoD acquisition life-cycle (Materiel Solution Analysis through Operations & Support)
  • Advise Government Program Managers on program execution, acquisition strategy, and risk management
  • Develop, review, and coordinate acquisition documentation, including but not limited to:
    • Acquisition Strategy (AS)
    • Systems Engineering Plan (SEP)
    • Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)
    • Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP)
    • Statement of Work (SOW), Statement of Objectives (SOO), and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
  • Monitor and evaluate program cost, schedule, and performance using metrics and Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks; maintain and manage risk registers
  • Lead or support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), milestone reviews, and technical reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR)
  • Support source selection activities, including proposal evaluation and contract modifications
  • Coordinate across engineering, logistics, test, and financial stakeholders to ensure integrated program execution
  • Prepare and deliver briefings, status reports, and decision support materials to senior leadership
  • Support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and international armaments cooperation efforts, as applicable

Qualifications
Citizenship
Must be a U.S. citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Secret with ability to upgrade to Top Secret (TS)
Education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and 25 years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree and 15 years of relevant experience
  • Program management experience preferably within a DoD acquisition environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting ACAT I-III programs or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
Clearance: Top Secret (TS) or TS/SCI
Certifications:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • DAWIA Level II or III in Program Management or equivalent

Experience:
  • Experience supporting AFLCMC, SAF/AQ, or equivalent Air Force acquisition organizations
  • Experience with armament systems (air-to-air, air-to-surface munitions, missiles, or related systems)
  • Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs
  • Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle processes and DoDI 5000 series
  • Experience developing and reviewing acquisition documentation (AS, SEP, TEMP, LCSP, etc.)

Technical Skills
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis and reporting
  • Risk management and mitigation planning
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
  • Understanding of requirements development and JCIDS processes (ICD, CDD, CPD)

Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to operate independently as a senior adviser to government leadership
  • Strong leadership and team coordination across cross-functional environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
