Job description

Be the lead-off batter at Perfect Audience. We're looking for a San Francisco or Chicago-based Sales Development Representative to be a charter member of our sales team. You will engage with prospects and help develop them into real opportunities. You'll be the first point of contact for anyone looking to learn more about Perfect Audience. You'll develop skills to qualify and filter inbound interest, and turn those prospects into awesome opportunities for our Account Executives to close or for our Customers Success Team to help get set up. You will be talking to companies all over the world on a daily basis.
During your first quarter, you'll get VERY proficient at discussing our business benefits, giving solution demos, and working through inbound leads using Salesforce. In addition, you'll become proficient at reaching out to new prospects. When someone writes or calls us, we'll send them to you.
Responsibilities:
  • Follow up on phone and e-mail inquiries with scheduled calls and by e-mail.
  • Qualify prospects to see how best our products and services can help them.
  • Route prospects to the right members of our Account or Sales teams for closing or implementation help.
  • Conduct over-the-phone product and solution demos with prospect
  • Regularly follow up with prospects who aren't yet ready to begin using Perfect Audience.
  • Apply basic listening skills to prospect conversations to learn prospect marketing needs.
  • Manage and track both prospects using our CRM
  • Troubleshoot sales issues; must be willing to get their hands dirty.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • 1 year experience in sales environment
  • Experience with CRM tools (we use Salesforce).
  • Strong understanding of internet technologies and a demonstrated capacity to learn
  • Ability to actively drive problems to resolution
  • Sound decision making and critical thinking skills
  • Expert organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients, management, and peers

Major Plus if you have:
  • 3 years of experience in a sales environment
  • Understanding of the online advertising industry
  • Fluency in another language (as well as English)
