Senior Food Scientist - Salty Snack R&DGrand Rapids, MI | Onsite$110,000-$135,000 base + bonusPro Found Recruiting is conducting a confidential search for a growing food manufacturer seeking a hands-on Senior Food Scientist. Direct salty-snack product-development experience is required.ResponsibilitiesDevelop new products from bench concept through commercializationLead formulation, plant trials and production start-upsConduct shelf-life and packaging-performance studiesPartner directly with customers, operations, quality and other internal teamsMaintain formulas, specifications, nutritional data and process documentationSupport and help grow a small R&D teamQualificationsDirect R&D experience with tortilla chips, crackers, popcorn, extruded snacks, puffs, pellet snacks or similar savory products5-7+ years of food product-development experienceBachelor's degree in Food Science or a related disciplineStrong formulation, commercialization and plant-trial experienceKnowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP and GMP requirementsCo-manufacturing or customer-facing development experience is strongly preferredComfortable working equally in the R&D lab and on the production floorModest lump-sum relocation assistance may be available for an exceptional match.
