Responsibilities
The Revenue Integrity Specialist/Manager supports Mercy Medical Center's revenue integrity program by identifying, investigating, and resolving charge capture gaps, billing compliance issues, and denial trends across clinical departments. This role works closely with the Senior Director of Revenue Integrity and partners across Finance, Clinical Operations, and Patient Accounting to protect revenue and ensure accurate, compliant billing under Maryland's all-payer regulatory framework. Proactively meets with departments to optimize charge capture.
Requirements
  • Three or more years of experience in revenue integrity, revenue cycle, or health information management in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, Epic charge and billing workflows, and hospital billing compliance.
  • Familiarity with denial management processes and payer appeal requirements.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with billing data and identifying trends.
