Job description

Ready to bring your controls engineering expertise to a high-impact automation project? TRC Talent Solutions is hiring a Senior Controls Engineer for a global process automation company near New Orleans, LA. In this role, you will play a key part in commissioning automation systems, completing loop checks, and troubleshooting electrical issues on the plant floor.
Role Type: Contract
Duration: 34 Months
Location: New Orleans, LA (Onsite)
Travel: Project-related travel and living expenses will be reimbursed at cost.
What You Will Be Doing
Perform comprehensive loop checks and system commissioning.
Execute basic I/O electrical troubleshooting on the plant floor.
Provide onsite engineering support using Rockwell automation systems.
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure milestones are met safely and on schedule.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in controls/automation engineering.
Process control experience (i.e. Chem, FB, CPG, Pulp and Paper, or Oil and Gas)
Rockwell Software Stack: Proficient with ControlLogix (PlantPAx) and FactoryTalk View (FTView).
Hands-on Skills: Demonstrated experience with loop checking and hardware/field instrument troubleshooting.
