About this position: Traveling Construction Superintendent Location - Huntsville, AL

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
โ€ข Lead day-to-day field operations for one or multiple construction projects
โ€ข Execute project scope, schedule, and plans in accordance with contract requirements
โ€ข Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
โ€ข Manage project sequencing, logistics, and site productivity
โ€ข Track daily production, site costs, and schedule performance
โ€ข Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and submittals
โ€ข Prepare and manage RFIs, change orders, and field documentation
โ€ข Conduct and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings
โ€ข Ensure all work complies with contract documents, quality standards, and engineering practices
โ€ข Enforce jobsite safety requirements and lead safety meetings, inspections, and audits
โ€ข Maintain safety documentation and ensure compliance with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 standards
โ€ข Serve as primary on-site point of contact for clients, inspectors, and stakeholders
โ€ข Provide regular reporting on project status, progress, and risks
โ€ข Resolve field issues, conflicts, and constraints in real time
โ€ข Support project closeout, inspections, and final documentation
Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
โ€ข Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent
โ€ข Level of Experience Requirements: 5+ years of construction experience, including experience as a Superintendent or Site Supervisor
โ€ข Proven experience managing commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or federal construction projects
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and concurrent projects or task orders
โ€ข Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents
โ€ข Experience with scheduling, cost tracking, and project reporting
โ€ข OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
โ€ข U.S. Citizenship (if required by contract)
โ€ข Ability to obtain base access and/or security clearance as required
โ€ข Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
โ€ข Willingness and ability to travel up to 100%.

Additional Qualifying Factors
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
