Who are we hiring? ย 

The Senior Captainย is responsible forย the safe conduct of flights as assigned serving as the Pilot in Commandย on MSG Aviation controlled fixed wingย aircraft.ย The Senior Captain ensures compliance with all Federal, state, local and foreign regulations by the flight crew andย aircraft. Theย Senior Captain willย actย in accordance withย all policies and procedures as specified in the MSG Aviation Flight Operations Manual (FOM). As the most visible department representative of MSG Aviation to the client passengers, theย Seniorย Captain consistently acts with tact and decorum while ensuring an efficient and safe operation.ย 

What will you do?ย ย 

  • Promote andย maintainย a strong culture of safety within MSG Aviation by adhering to efficient procedures that support exceptional customer service.ย 
  • Serve as the Pilot in Command (PIC) when assigned as Captain, having the final authority for the operation of theย aircraftย in the service of UHNWIs and their guestsย 
  • Earn the respect and trust of passengers and flight department colleagues through professionalism and sound judgment; be recognized as a technical expert on assignedย aircraft, includingย aircraftย operations and the maintenance interface.ย 
  • Evaluate weather conditions at departure points, destinations, alternate airports, and along planned routes toย determineย whether toย initiate, delay, cancel, or divert flights as operational conditions require.ย 
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers consistent with applicable government regulations and MSG Aviation's flight standards as documented in the Flight Operations Manual (FOM).ย 
  • Ensure that theย aircraftย is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passenger.ย 
  • Meet schedules and other directives governing the aircraft's operation consistent with applicable government regulations and MSG Aviation's flight standards as documented in the Flight Operations Manual (FOM),ย all SOPs including the diligent andย appropriate useย ofย aircraftย checklists.ย 
  • Responsible forย ensuringย accurateย andย appropriate flightย plans and contingency plans.ย 
  • Review and calculateย theย aircraftย weight and balance, fuel onย board,ย and performance charts.ย 
  • Ensure preflight inspections are completed thoroughly andย in accordance withย all safety and regulatory requirements.ย 
  • Manage and coordinate flight and cabin crew performance by fostering a cohesive team environment, sharing knowledge, mentoring crewmembers, and assessing potential for advancement; serve as an active mentor within MSG Aviation and the broader Business Aviation community.ย 
  • Uphold the highest standards of personal integrity, honesty, and professionalismย at all times.ย ย

What do you need to succeed?ย 

  • Bachelor'sย degree in business, Business Aviation, Safety, Operations Management or equivalentย ย 
  • 10+ย years of successfulย experienceย as PIC in UHNW dynamic global white gloveย environmentsย 
  • Knowledge of theย aircraftย they shall command, client service expectations and skills, CFRs, ICAO Standards, applicable to International Jurisdiction Regulations, and Meteorological Science.ย ย 
  • Must holdย and be able toย maintainย aย valid FAA Class I medical.ย 
  • Previousย experienceย operatingย in 14 CFR Part 91 or 135 environments isย required, with a thorough understanding of 14 CFR Part 91 and ICAO Standard.ย 
  • Must have an unmarredย track recordย ofย maintainingย excellent working relationships with the FAA and aviation training providersย 
  • Mustย possessย a strong technical background, interpersonal skills, and strong leadership qualities.ย 
  • Proficiencyย in English, both written and verbal.ย 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.ย 
  • Strong desireย for professional engagement, growth, and enterprise-caliber development.ย 

Special Requirementsย ย 

  • G650 Type Rating is preferred, G550 Type Rating Required ย 
  • 7500 hoursย total time,ย 3500 hoursย turbine time,ย 3500 hoursย Pilot in Command, andย 1500hourslarge cabin corporateย aircraftย 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, and work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environmentย 
  • Be able to respond, react to on demand unscheduled trip and be wheels-up within 3 hours of first callย 
  • Ability toย lift upย to 25 poundsย ย 
  • Ability to sit forย long periodsย of timeย ย 
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) during outdoor patrols/stationed assignmentsย
