Bark Barbecue is opening a second 8,700 sq. ft. flagship destination in the heart of North Brooklyn (East Williamsburg/Bushwick) and is seeking hospitality professionals to join our opening team.

This is an opportunity to be part of an industry-leading buildout from the ground up, helping shape the systems, culture, and standards of a high-volume restaurant focused on exceptional barbecue, hospitality, and craftsmanship.

Position: Assistant Captain

Assistant Captains play a critical role in supporting service, guests, and fellow team members throughout the shift. As a cross-department hospitality role, Assistant Captains help ensure a seamless guest experience across the dining room, host stand, takeout counter, bar, café, and kitchen.

Responsibilities include assisting guests throughout their visit, helping maintain smooth service during busy periods, facilitating communication between departments, anticipating guest and operational needs, assisting with service recovery when necessary, and stepping in wherever needed to support both guests and team members.

This role is ideal for hospitality professionals who enjoy being on the floor, interacting with guests, supporting teammates, and helping create a positive, energetic, and highly collaborative service environment.

Ideal Candidates

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, server, captain, maître d', bartender, barista, or guest-facing experience preferred
• Experience in multiple hospitality disciplines is a plus, particularly service, bartending, coffee, or guest relations
