Job description

Company Overview:

Argano is the world’s largest global digital consultancy, exclusively connecting design and delivery for the transformation of high-performance business operations, extending our clients’ commercial agility, profitability, customer experience, and growth. Our strategic consulting, bolstered by proprietary IP, provides a comprehensive view of business operations, pinpointing areas of strength and unveiling opportunities for improvement. Argano is at the intersection of operations and technology for digital transformation

Senior Business Process Consultant About the Role

Argano's Business Consulting practice partners with organizations to design, optimize, and transform their core business processes — connecting strategy to execution through industry expertise and technology-agnostic guidance. As a Senior Business Process Consultant, you will lead process improvement engagements that help clients eliminate inefficiencies, redesign how work gets done, and build the operational foundation that makes technology investments deliver their full value.

This is a hands-on consulting role for someone who thrives at the intersection of process thinking, structured problem-solving, and client partnership. You will work across a range of industries — including manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and HR — leading process assessments, operating model design projects, and technology-adjacent process transformation engagements. Typical projects range from focused 6–8 week assessments to multi-phase transformation programs of 12–18 months.

What You'll Do Process Discovery & Analysis
  • Lead current-state process discovery through structured workshops, stakeholder interviews, and documentation review
  • Map end-to-end business processes using industry-standard process mapping and mining tools (e.g. Signavio), identifying pain points, redundancies, and improvement opportunities
  • Benchmark client processes against industry best practices and reference frameworks (e.g. APQC, SCOR, or industry-specific models) to identify capability gaps
  • Develop data-driven analysis and projected outcomes to support client decision‑making
Future‑State Design
  • Design future-state business processes aligned to client strategy, target operating model, and technology roadmap
  • Develop process improvement business cases including quantified impact estimates, effort sizing, and prioritization frameworks
  • Facilitate cross‑functional stakeholder workshops to validate findings and co‑design future‑state solutions
  • Produce process documentation including process maps, SOPs, RACI frameworks, and governance models
Client Delivery & Engagement
  • Navigate ambiguous client environments — structure the problem, define the approach, and build a clear path to resolution
  • Develop action plans and recommendations grounded in research, data analysis, and industry knowledge
  • Produce clear, compelling deliverables — presentations, assessments, roadmaps — tailored to executive and working‑team audiences
  • Collaborate across delivery workstreams — technology implementation, OCM, and PMO — to ensure process design is implementation‑ready
  • Follow Argano's delivery methodology and incorporate lessons learned from prior engagements
Business Development
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships that create trust and generate future opportunities
  • Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Contribute to proposals and business development efforts by bringing process expertise and client insight
Travel
  • Up to 50% travel to client sites. Travel requirements vary by project phase — typically higher during discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews, lower during analysis, design, and documentation phases
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's degree required; business, economics, finance, engineering, or operations management preferred
  • MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in business process consulting, operational improvement, or management consulting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process assessments, redesign initiatives, and operating model engagements from discovery through implementation
  • Deep proficiency in end-to-end business processes in at least one of the following domains: Supply Chain, Finance & Record-to-Report, Procurement, HR & Workforce Management, or Sales & Order Management
  • Experience facilitating workshops with cross‑functional and senior stakeholder groups
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Alteryx, Python, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems, develop hypotheses, and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or equivalent
  • Experience with process mapping and mining tools (Signavio, Celonis, Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting or working alongside ERP or enterprise technology implementations (system agnostic — SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft, or other platforms)
  • Knowledge of process reference frameworks such as APQC PCF, SCOR, or industry-specific models
  • Experience developing business cases with quantified ROI and value-at-stake analysis
