Job description

SR. BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE/STRATEGY DEVELOPER
Summary:
The Intersect Group is seeking an experience Business Intelligence Developer for our direct client, where you will build and maintain high-quality software products within their IT group as an active and collaborative member of a software development team. In addition, you will leverage development expertise as we create and maintain software solutions and tools for internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and build BI dashboards with AI features
  • Contribute to the entire implementation process, including driving the definition of improvements based on business needs and architectural improvements
  • Meet with business partners to understand business needs
  • Responsible for prototyping and overall design of the solution
  • Conduct root cause analysis and advanced performance tuning for complex business processes and functionality
  • Partner with IT lead and business owners to:
    • Effectively communicate development status in daily standups
    • Prototype as required and deliver solutions with creativity for business problems or requests
    • Define technical requirements
    • Provide accurate level of effort estimates
  • Define testing requirements
  • Participate in feature-level architecture/design sessions.
  • Recommend actions to improve procedures and standards.
  • Stay up to date on technology trends and emerging technology.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree preferred. 
  • 4 or more years of relevant software development experience are required.  
  • BI software development experience required – MicroStrategy, Power B
  • Proficiency with Dashboard Development, MSTR Web, MSTR Developer, MSTR Workstation, MSTR Library, Schema Comprehension & Design
  • MicroStrategy certified developer required. AI Cert preferred.
  • Experience in writing and troubleshooting SQL and T-SQL is required.
  • Strong expertise in RDBMS MS-SQL Server concepts is required.
  • Experience working in an Agile-based development environment (ADO), using Agile is preferred.
  • Strong skills in team collaboration, communication, working with diverse teams, and documentation.
