Buckland is looking for a Business Intelligence Report Developer

What youโ€™ll be doing

This role will focus on the design, development, and delivery of reports and dashboards to support strategic and operational decision-making across the organization. Working closely with Business Analysts, Data Architects and stakeholders across the business, the Business Intelligence Report Developer will transform data into meaningful visualizations and insights, leveraging both SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI.

You will be responsible for

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI
  • Interpret business requirements and translate them into technical reporting specifications
  • Optimize SQL queries and data sources to ensure high-performing reports and dashboards
  • Partner with Business Analysts and stakeholders to identify reporting needs and provide data-driven insights
  • Maintain and improve existing reports and reporting frameworks, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Develop documentation for data models, report logic, and technical specifications
  • Conduct unit testing and peer reviews for report quality assurance.
  • Support data validation and reconciliation efforts
  • Stay current with BI tools, techniques, and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned

What we need from you

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2โ€“5 years of hands-on experience with SSRS and Power BI in enterprise environments
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+)
  • Experience in developing paginated reports and dashboards based on complex data models
  • Familiarity with data warehousing principles and dimensional modeling
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or supply chain is an asset.
  • Knowledge of GIT, SQL Server performance tuning, or analytics languages (e.g., R, Python) is a plus
  • Bilingual an asset (fluent in both Spanish/English)
  • Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times
  • Valid Passport and ability to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CAD/USA/MEX
