Job description

SUMMARY: The Business Intelligence Report Developer/Product BA is responsible for building and maintaining complex interactive data visualizations, online dashboards and related report output using Tableau and other BI/reporting tools for analytics product line.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interacts with product leaders to understand the vision and direction of analytics product line.
  • Designs, develops, and supports interactive dashboards and reports that align with product vision.
  • Recommends dashboards per Tableau (or other BI tool) visualization features.
  • Draws upon full range of BI platform technologies to design and implement proof of concept solutions and create advanced BI visualizations.
  • Performs acceptance testing of new reports, programs, and models.
  • Documents business requirements and methods used to generate work output.
  • Drives analytic innovation and best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or equivalent experience or combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations required: N/A
  • Computer skills:
    1. Extensive (advanced level) experience working with business intelligence data visualization tools with specialization on Tableau, ThoughtSpot, and PowerBI preferred.
    2. Strong knowledge in data warehousing concepts.
    3. Experience with database query tools - develop and execute queries.
    4. Experience with databases, data retrieval, and manipulation.
    5. Understanding of ETL preferred.
    6. Experience with Microsoft BI stack preferred.
  • Other skills:
    1. Strong data analysis experience.
    2. Strong understanding and ability to pull data together. analyze it, and present it.
