We are seeking an Associate Product Manager for our Smyrna, TN Plant within the Support Systems Division for Wesanco ZSI.

Summary:

The Associate Product Manager supports the Product Management team through product data management, cross-functional project coordination, and product portfolio initiatives. This role provides the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the company's products, customers, and manufacturing processes while working closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service.

The initial focus of this position will be leading the collection, organization, and management of product information for the company's Product Information Management (PIM) system implementation. This high-impact initiative will provide extensive exposure to the company's product portfolio while building strong relationships across the organization.

As the Associate Product Manager develops product knowledge and business experience, responsibilities will expand to include broader product management activities such as new product introductions, portfolio management, competitive analysis, pricing support, market research, and other strategic commercial initiatives.

This position is designed for early-career professionals seeking to build a long-term career in Product Management. We welcome candidates ranging from recent graduates to professionals with several years of relevant experience who are eager to grow in a collaborative manufacturing environment. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to take on increasing levels of ownership and responsibility as they develop within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, validate, and maintain product information for the company's Product Information Management (PIM) system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Partner with Engineering, Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, and other cross-functional teams to collect, organize, and maintain product data.
  • Support product management initiatives including product launches, portfolio maintenance, competitive analysis, pricing support, and commercial projects.
  • Independently manage assigned projects, priorities, and timelines while demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ensure the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of product data across internal systems, catalogs, websites, and customer-facing documentation.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's products, applications, manufacturing processes, and customer markets.
  • Build strong working relationships across departments to facilitate collaboration and information gathering.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product data processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Present project updates and recommendations to Product Management leadership as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 0โ€“5 years of professional experience in Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, Operations, or a related business function.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM), ERP systems, or product data management is beneficial but not required.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% as business needs require.
